How to migrate to the developer platform

In order to improve your experience with our different marketplaces and our technology, Maestrano team has created a brand new developer platform.

If your application is already integrated with Maestrano, do not panic! Your integration still works perfectly. But to simplify your journey with us and our partner's marketplaces, we will onboard you soon on the developer platform. If you want to know more, just contact us following this link: Developer Desk, nothing to be afraid of!

Warning

During the migration and the configurations changes, please make sure to not touch to the production environment:

  • do not remove the production environment (most of the time the name of your app) from the Maestrano marketplace (called Maestrano) and keep it as "default"
  • do not start the configuration change on your production environment before you validated your other environments (UAT, dev, etc.)
  • please make sure constantly that your changes did not affect your production environment and that the app is still accessible from the Maestrano sandbox (you can access your app when you click on it)

Here are the steps you will have to follow:

  1. DO NOT create an application on the developer platform, you will very soon receive an invitation from us to access your app, where you will find your existing configuration… Isn’t it much simpler?

  2. Access the developer platform using the link you received in an email we sent you; you will find your existing environments (prod and sandboxes) you used during the integration, and you will be able to create brand new environments! To know more, have a look at the developer platform documentation.

  3. Link all the environments you want to be able to test to the integration sandbox (see: integration sandbox documentation).

  4. Upgrade your SDK to the latest version available and configure it to now use the developer platform dynamic configuration endpoint. You now won’t need to use a config file per marketplace anymore. If you do not use a SDK you will need to update your codebase in order to now retrieve your marketplace configurations from this endpoint (cf. SDK-free integration documentation).

That’s it, you will then be able to enjoy the developer platform benefits.
