Sales Summary
Overview
Represents your total sales for a given period. Period and amounts displayed can be selected.
4 similar widgets can be used:
- Sales summary sorts your sales by product (product name or code)
- Sales by customer (eg: "Company A", "John Doe"...)
- Sales by location (location of your customers as defined in the applications)
- Sales by industry (eg: "Construction", "Retail"...)
By default, these widgets will represent the total gross value sold for each product, customer. etc. But this can also be changed to net value sold, quantity sold, or even net/gross value or quantity purchased.
Calculation
The total invoiced amount within a given time period is used to determine what the total sales is.
Settings
The widget can be filtered by a settable percentage value of gross amount sold, and time range scope (top-right cogwheel).
The time range to be used can also be modified by selecting the two dates on the front of the widget.
See it in Xero
Sales summary (sorted by product) can be found in Xero in the report: Reports > All Reports > Sales by Item (screenshot).
Make sure the time range matches between Xero and Impac!.
For the 3 other widgets, the invoices list report can be used (see: Invoices List).
Noticeable differences with the Impac! widget
- Amounts are shown excluding GST in Xero. Excluding or excluding GST can be chosen in Impac!
- Mismatch between the "Sales By Item" on Xero and "Sales Summary" in Maestrano.
In Xero, the "sales by Item" report shows all sales of untracked inventory items (in opposition with tracked inventory items, as defined by Xero).
See it in QuickBooks
Equivalent report can be found in “Sales by Product / Service Summary”.
Set the QBO date parameter to “All dates”. Set the value sold to (excl. taxes) in Impac!.
Noticeable differences with the Impac! widget
The Credit Note are included in the sales in QBO.
See it in MYOB AccountRight
Sales per Item can be found in MYOB under Reports > Index to Reports > Sales > Item > Sales (Item Summary).
Sales per Customer can be found in MYOB under Reports > Index to Reports > Sales > Customer > Sales (Customer Summary).
By default, the Impac! widget Item Summary displays only data for the current calendar year. So the MYOB report must be set to the date range 1st January of current year up to today. The amounts in Impac! have to be set to "excluding taxes" to match the MYOB report.
Noticeable differences with the Impac! widget
The data range in MYOB AccountRight and Impac! must match to see similar results. Only the top X items are displayed on the list (configurable in the widget settings).
