Salaries summary

Overview

This widget aims to represent the average salary of your employees, compared depending on several criteria:

  • Gender: Determines what is the average salary of your Male/Female employees
  • Age range: Determines the average salaries of your employees depending on their age
  • Job title: Determines the average salaries of your employees depending on their title in your organization

Calculation

The widget displays data based on your processed payroll: it does not include employees for whom payroll has never been processed, like new employees.

If some of your employees are paid on a hourly basis while some other are paid on an hourly basis, the widget is going to recalculate the corresponding salaries so that they will be compared on an equivalent basis. For example, if you have only one employee which is paid 70,000 AUD annually, the average hourly salary in your company will be:

average hourly salary = 70,000 AUD / ( 52 * 38 ) = 35.43 AUD

38 is here taken as the default number of hours worked per week, except if you have specified it in your HR application.

If then you have a second employee which is paid on an hourly basis, 30.00 AUD per hour, 25 hours per week, and you want to represent the average yearly salary in your company, the calculation would be:

average yearly salary = (70,000 AUD + ( 25 * 52 * 30.00 AUD )) / 2 = 54,500.00 AUD

Settings

The workforce can be filtered on the chart following 3 different criteria: genderage range, or job title.

You can also chose on which period interval you want your workforce calculations to be based on: YearlyMonthly, WeeklyHourly.

Noticeable differences with the Impac!™ widget
