Building and publishing a good schedule is only half the battle! It is equally important to capture and review accurate clock in and out data, before it is authorized for payroll. Note: If your company is not using the time & attendance features, this page can be skipped. The key tasks involved in launching the Time Clock and reviewing timesheets are outlined below.
Launch the Time Clock
If your company has elected to have employee managed timesheets or GPS tagged employee location clock in / outs, you can ignore this section. If you’re launching theTime Clock app on an Apple or Android tablet, you can find our app in the respective app store by searching for ‘Ento Attendance‘. Once installed, login with your manager login details. If you’re planning to run the Time Clock on a computer, click theTime the Time & attendance → Launch attendance menu item within your account. Note: This will log you out of your manager location, but you can log back in in a second browser tab. If your company is using the facial recognition or photo attendance capture method, the first time someone clocks in the webpage will request access to your camera. There should be an Access
option to Always allow
. You or your employee shouldn’t worry, the camera will only switch on when someone goes to clock in or out! For more information on launching the attendance screen, go to the Docs → Time & attendance → Launch attendance support page.
Review timesheets
Captured clock in and out data is converted into timesheets, for your review. You should review this via theTime the Time & attendance → Review timesheets page soon after the shift finishes; to ensure you have time to resolve any issues with the employee before it’s time to process payroll. If there is a difference between what was scheduled, and what was recorded, it will be highlighted in red. Any problems with the clock in or out verification will also be highlighted. Note: the first couple of times an employee clocks using facial recognition, it will fail. If you click on the picture and click Train it will teach the facial recognition engine what the employee looks like for future verification. If you are happy to approve the recorded times, click the Approve button. If you want to edit the times (or they were never clocked in or out) you will need to press the Edit button. Make your changes then click Save. Timesheets can also be approved in bulk by clicking the Bulk approve button at the top of the page. For more information on reviewing timesheets, go to the Docs → Time & attendance → Review timesheets support page.
