Here you will find all the information you look for regarding the data sharing between Shopify and the other apps of the marketplace


Interesting workflow you can accomplish with Shopify on our MarketPlace

When you create your shop in Shopify, this information is shared with Maestrano.

When you create contacts in Shopify, they are instantly synchronized with applications managing this information (CRMs, emailing, accounting).

When you create products in Shopify, they are instantly synchronized in applications managing this information (accounting, inventory or stock management) like QuickBooks or Unleashed.

When you create orders/invoices and add a payment in Shopify, they are instantly synchronized in your accounting applications like QuickBooks/ Xero/ MYOB.

  • images cannot be shared so your product images will not be shared between your apps automatically

FAQ

 I can't see tax mapped with the amount on the products created in other apps, is it OK?

We cannot send the tax_amount to Shopify. As net_amount of the sale price is sent to Shopify and not the tax_amount. This means you have to enable taxes in the settings page so that it can be applied at the time of sales.

 Why isn't my invoice synced with other apps?

Many apps such as Xero need a Contact attached to an invoice. Make sure that you add a customer to your invoice in Shopify.

 My customers are not appearing in Shopify

Make sure that your contact's region is valid (e.g: New South Wales, Queensland,...) as well as their email address, as Shopify will reject them otherwise.

Shopify accepts contact if the address field is blank or remains untouched. However, If you add any data in any of the fields without province/state it will not be accepted by Shopify.

 My inventory is not updated with quantity if there is a sale, is it normal?
The quantity number in Shopify is currently mapped as Read only.
 My Organization is not appearing in Shopify
Shopify does not accept organization details sent from connec! and other apps.
 My invoices are not marked as Paid in Xero
You need to make sure that at lease one bank account has been set up in Xero.

 I am unable to apply tax on the product
In Shopify, tax rate is default 10% for products created in AUD however, it is 0% for rest of the world. This means that even if you check the box "charge taxes on this product" when your currency is "Euro" it won't be charged.
 I will change the base currency of My Shop. How will this influence data sharing?

Currency can only be set when products are created. If the base currency changes, price updates for historical items will not be shared between Shopify and Maestrano.

In the event of a change of currency, please allow a full synchronization before modifying existent products in your shop. Please contact our support for more information.

Moreover, please note that Shopify keeps sending the taxes corresponding to the original currency. For example, if you start your shop in AUD, the tax will remain GST, even if you switch currencies. (You may want to contact Shopify if you wish to change that)
